    Yeah, I bet he's regretting that tweet now and just hoping for the best.

    Tesla is still a public company, which means it’s subject to the rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. That means words do matter.

      Between that and the "pedo guy" tweets, I have to wonder if the boards of his companies are pushing to get him to just stop using Twitter entirely. It's probably a tough call, because I doubt the cult of personality around him would stay nearly as strong if he became less public.

        I guess I could be considered a member of his cult following. I see Musk as a symbol for change and global betterment (possibly a stretch I know). Even if his companies fail to meet their goals, they have made waves in each of their perspective industries and have pushed those industries to continue advancement. His success and inevitable failures will be a catalyst for progress. The space industry and auto industry will never be the same as a direct result of Musk's endeavors. I do not care about him as a person and think him leaving twitter or allowing a PR director to take over his accounts would be in everyone's best interest.
