Honestly, the idea that competition is bad for business is probably misplaced. Furthermore it's not like Intel couldn't build their own risc-v processor, as they have done with arm in the past....

It's interesting for us the consumer but it probably won't shake things up for them very much, especially since a lot of their market is in servers.
