      Yeah, the presence of one of the "ask" tags changes the "topic content type" that's displayed. A text post without those tags says "Text" and includes the word count of the post, but if there's an ask tag it will say "Ask", or something like "Ask (recommendations)" or "Ask (survey)".

          It might be possible to make it more prominent in some way, but I probably wouldn't want to go that far. Right now, the tags with bright/special styling are "warnings", so it's important that they stand out and people notice them. Ask topics are very common, so if they were adding a bright tag on a large number of threads, people would start to get blind to it, and that would hurt the usefulness of the warnings.

          One thing to note too is that the large majority of users don't have that duplication from seeing the tag as well—that's because you have the "Show topic tags in listing pages" setting turned on, but that's not the default, and very few people use it overall.
