Will the entire season be released on Amazon at the same time, or will it still be weekly episodes?

Yeah, I fully intend on binging it all in one go as well. :P Expanse is by-far my favorite show right now, and I am super excited for its return.

Once it's over I will most likely give them a read though, since I have heard nothing but good things from my friends who have read them.

Ha - I crumbled and started reading them after Season 3 finished, thinking there wouldn't be any more episodes after the cancellation. I couldn't stop reading them.

I re-watched the episodes to match approximately while I was reading though. The broad storyline follows the books with many minor (and some major) changes needed to adapt for TV. This show does it so well I think because the authors are heavily involved in the production from what I can tell.

It was a weird, but surprisingly rewarding reading experience; having the actors faces and voices attached to the characters but still needing to imagine places and situations (having forgotten so much from the show before reading.)

I'm going to try that with other TV adaptations once I find something suitable to see if it holds up.

That's actually a pretty neat idea! Once the series finishes and I start reading the books I will have to give that a try.

Looks like they got quite a boost in budget over season 3, let's hope the writing continues to hold up. Unrelated, but why are we still pretending that this is "High Definition" in 2019? I think...

Unrelated, but why are we still pretending that this is "High Definition" in 2019? I think I've seen better looking DVDs.

I'm being critical of YouTube. I'm sure this trailer looked gorgeous until it was shoved on to YouTube.

I don't like how everything is about being able to technically claim your stream is at a certain resolution rather than maximizing perceived quality within your bandwidth budget. I see lots of videos that would look sharper at the same bitrate if encoded to 720p instead of 1080p.

I find HBO Now's "1080p" streams similarly disappointing, especially for a premium service that costs me $15/mo.
