I'm really excited to watch this, but for a pretty dumb reason. I have never read the comic for this show, but I am a huge fan of the Parahumans web serials, and always thought that the only way to ever faithfully rendition Worm and Ward onto a screen would be as an animated show, least of all because they come in at around three million words.
So getting an animated show about a similarly sometimes dark, violent, and gory superhero story is almost like a trial run for the validity of my thoughts about Parahumans.
With this and The Boys, it seems that Amazon is trying to get in on the superhero genre by adapting darker literature, so if this is successful you might get your wish.

I haven’t read it all, but the comic is really good! Looking forward to seeing it animated!
