For health reasons, it helps to know when you have encounter certain health issues throughout your life. You can easily diagnose these issues in a blood related child. For example, my father has digestive issues with lactose, I have recently begun having those issues and I now understand the symptoms. I'll be able to convey the time frame and symptoms to my son when he is of age to begin noticing problems. If we were to have had a son from different egg/sperm DNA, the little nuances of growing up with pains/skeletal-muscular structure/etc would not be fully known by me or my wife, so the child would not have as much instruction from their parents' experiences.

Edit: there are so many closet philosophers in this thread, but the question was asking about the pros/cons without human feelings to having a blood-child.

My last session was the first in a new campaign. Our DM has great intentions and always wants us to have a great time. The problem is that he's not the best story teller. His stories generally have the same characters in them from campaign to campaigns (homebrew). Our last session was good and enriching, but I worry that it will end up like our last campaign where our DM doesn't put the effort into each session and merely makes stuff up on the fly. We had quite a few deviations in our last campaign where our DM realized he was taking the story way off-course and would lazily create something like "this sword kills the bad guy on contact" so we could get back to the main storyline.

I am a very RPG based person and I really dislike "lazy writing" so it can be hard for me to take those results sometimes.

There are two topics that I don't actively defend on social media (reddit) but everytime I say something about them, I am downvoted and argued to oblivion:

1 - Marijuana is not good for you.
2 - Not everything about the Republican mentality is bad.

Reddit and other online forums are so populated by potheads that they can't possibly see how marijuana could be bad for you. Ignoring the apathy it creates during use, you're still ingesting mind and body altering substances into your bloodstream. This would be akin to people claiming that alcohol is not bad for you.

I'm not even going to try defending Republican ideals. There are some bad ones, obviously, that limit human freedom and the progression of the human species. However, there are good ideals too like small federal government and low flat-rate taxes.
