Comment on Tildes Minecraft Weekly - Final Thread for Season 3 in ~games
PunchTunnel Link ParentAww! I didn't expect my strange notions to be remembered by anyone, given I never finished my planned build this season - not sure I got it close enough for even the final outline to be discerned,...@PunchTunnel's wacky corner base wasn't in the lodestone tour, but he showed it to me some months ago and I needed to revisit it before the server end. It oozes creativity in a way that leaves you feeling dazed and confused. I have no idea how you get your ideas, but I'll look to you if ever I need inspiration.

The local trans population is a mix of veteran trans folks and a handful of the freshly-hatched. Your cousin would be welcome.

Also, since it's a weird hybrid using magic in a science fictional setting and has been running long (and inconsistently) enough that it doesn't get mention often: the Mageworlds series by Debra Doyle is at least solid, and unusual. -

Is that covered?

If so, my revision was after, and mostly adding access for mucking the pipes and a simple filter for undesired materials going into the crafter.

I have a less compact version running stably in my base which might be easier to examine, but it's a bit of a hike - northern nether rail line all the way to the terminus, if you feel like exploring.
I found it helpful to think of the remnant kept as a priming cost rather than an ongoing inefficiency.

I'd definitely rework the "design" for your own use if you can - I was working with some space constraints.

Conjoined with the rest, that's more than enough to turn me all the way off.The pile also contains misspellings (or at best distinctly regional spellings) of some terms. There were a lot of SMEs posting there for a while, in a couple of fields, but I guess it was mostly a community, bound in time and digital locale. Not for everyone, sure, but a good model for smaller online communities IMO.

I've gotten the impression there are lots of small discussion communities that don't broadcast their presence much, so it's mostly word-of-mouth to get hooked in, much like here.
I don't mind this state of affairs - I feel like the price of central convenience like large social media sites is... well, everything that's gone wrong with every one that got big, rotted, and either died or has been turned into a value-extracting automated zombie by corporate interests.
