I was already a Dumont fan so knew what to expect… somewhat. You'll remember the programme, even if you find that you didn't like it—which is probably more than you can say for a lot of television.
I think that there are film-length edits for the US, but would suggest finding the mini-series. Has anyone seen both?
Not essential, as there are small recaps, but it wouldn’t hurt to see Brügger‘s 2006 documentary The Red Chapel before watching this.
His film from last year about Dag Hammarskjöld is worth checking out too. I wasn’t familiar with the story, so it was real edge of your seat stuff. So bonkers I might have to watch it again to make sure I took it all in.
