Time-lapse sequences taken from the ISS was stitched together to create a series of real time videos. Images were enhanced to fix artifacts and increase surface feature contrast. The film runs for the full length of an orbit but it is not a continuous video of a single orbit but a series stitched together.

The sheer quantities of candles used in the 18th century is something I never really considered until reading this post.
