    Commander will always be my favorite game to go to when I wanna play with my buddies, but you can only make so many decks without doing something wild and busted that nobody would think of before. And those kinds of strategies take a wild train of thought or a good list off the internet.

    I got into standard during the Theros block. Waiting for speedy Boros in the upcoming sets to get back into that.
    If you like magic but not your cards cycling out, I will always recommend commander as a fun format to bullshit with friends.

    It really depends on what you play and why.
    If you don't try to make the #1 deck in the meta, you can get away with spending $20-40 and be totally fine.
    If you want to be in the meta and be a top player, you don't even need to get super expensive cards, just know how to synergize what's out. But that's why I think TCG's are more fun. The strive to make a better ship and be a better player is more passionate than LCG's with friends.

    LCG's are fun! I've played a lot of Heart of Crown and Munchkin. Heard great things about others. Card game wise, the only competitive scene I'm in anymore is DBS. Don't know about card video...

    Don't know about card video games. I try them for a minute but unless I'm previously invested I dip out.

    I play Magic and Dragon Ball Super.
    Used to play Yu-Gi-Oh, Vanguard, and the previous DBZ card game that was far from understandable, lol.
