After her de facto disappearance, there was a drought of denuvo cracks, meaning that especially releases from 2024 and 2025 with denuvo were not getting cracked. The reason for this is that Denuvo keeps evolving and cracking a 2025 release is not the same as cracking a 2023 release.
This has changed in 2026 as there is a new player on the scene. In the past three months they have been cracking Denuvo releases from 2024, 2025 and now even 2026.
So looking at it from today's point of view, you may see it that way, but the general consensus until the new cracker showed up was that Denuvo had made cracking games largely too difficult for unpaid actors to spend their time cracking it.

When a game was released with Denuvo, it was generally accepted that there was not going to be a cracked version. While this has changed in the last month or three, Denuvo specifically had a huge impact and all but stopped piracy of games that shipped with it in 2024 and 2025. In my view, the impact on pirates was huge. Agreed on your other points.

It is the case as of a few weeks ago. But Denuvo had a very strong track record of being too difficult to crack in recent years so it is understandable why game developers may have chosen to include it. That list looked very difficult before voices38 showed up. They have basically cracked all Denuvo releases on the market in the last 6 months, it's absurd. The most impressive feat is the day one crack of the latest Denuvo release. Last year, nobody thought we would be at this point again.
