In that particular house, no. We tried to replicate the sound by poking around with broomsticks, seeing if any other door could have made the sound etc. Its bizarre, and definitely creepy.

I had a creepy experience in broad daylight in my apartment. I was up at like 10 am analyzing some data for a class. My roommate was asleep in his room. There was quite a gap (maybe a couple of inches?) between the door to his room and the floor, because the door was too short. He was asleep at the time.

Suddenly his door started banging all by itself. It sounded like someone was either trying to use the doorknob while on meth. It sounded insane. I just stared at the door, completely flabbergasted by what I was hearing and seeing. I knew my roommate was not behind the door - I couldn't see any feet or anything indicating someone was standing behind the door.

Then the sounds stopped. A few minutes later my roommate opened the door wondering why I was making such a racket. I was like "dude that wasn't me, was it you?" and he said it wasn't him either.

It still gives me chills to this day. I cannot figure out what caused a door in my apartment to have a mini seizure all by itself.
