Reputable trackers will often have official recruitment to other trackers in their invite forums, which can be accessed after reaching certain user classes. This is the recommended path to future trackers if you don't know and trust someone who already has access.

I'm now a regular on five private trackers: one for general content (music/TV/movies/software), one for music + some audiobooks, one for e-books and audiobooks, one for movies, and another for NSFW content. It used to be six, but Bb shut down at some point.
None of the private trackers I got access to via the what.cd forums had rules nearly as strict as what.cd (except for RED, the spiritual successor to what.cd). I put more effort into WCD/RED than any of the other trackers by a long shot. It didn't take long on the others to have so many bonus points that I never had to worry about ratio/100% seeding. I'm not VIP class on all of them, but I can always use bonus points to buy it temporarily for VIP-only torrents.
