One advantage of a gas stove is that it will work (at least the burners will) when the power is out.

I started out really liking the show in the first few episodes, but the cracks started showing pretty soon after that, and I gave up at the episode where they fixed the generator. Am I really supposed to believe something so integral to the silo’s continued existence wasn’t taken out of service for maintenance even one time in the last 200 years? And how is it that the creators of the silo could create such an immense and complex structure, but they didn’t build any kind of safety into the mechanism that fuels the generator, thereby creating a wholly unnecessary time limit on repairs?
