I liked Blogger when I had to run a blog years ago for a high school project. Easy and simple to make a decent looking blog.

A bit of both. Right now I have maybe 4-5 pictures in mind because I've been to this park before. Usually I spend the first day wandering around after setting up, just with a point and shoot, looking for what's worth coming back to with the full kit. Sometimes I'll see a picture online of a place and decide to head out there.

That's awesome! I kind of want a 3D printer though I don't think I'd end up using it enough to justify the cost. However, my local library has one, so I think I'll try to come up with an idea for some printing and head over there at some point soon. A 3D scanner would be super useful, and I did just watch a video recently about a very expensive scanner that can even generate textures. Unfortunately I can't find the video at the moment.

Oh I get it now! For some reason I thought it would be shaped like a normal sundial (round) and obviously that doesn't work. That's a really neat idea.

I did recently start reading about 40K and I gotta say, it's absolutely hilarious how over-the-top everything is.

How exactly does a wall-mounted sundial work, unless I'm thinking about it the wrong way, and it's not mounted vertically?

As for my photos, here's a recent one, from when I accidentally loaded my 4x5 film backwards and did a 2 minute long exposure. That mistake sold my first 2 prints!

For me, I'm a photographer, and I've got some plans for some large format shooting during my camping trip. Because my trip lines up nicely with a nearly new moon, and I'm going to be in an area with nearly no light pollution, I want to try capturing the Milky Way on slide (color positive) film, and also doing a shot of some star trails behind a lighthouse in that area, or star trails reflecting off the lake.

I recently got a box of the Fomapan 200 in 4x5 and I've actually been really happy with the results when developed in Rodinal. It's certainly an older look than most of my other films but for less than $1 a sheet, I'm not complaining at all.

Ilford is an excellent suggestion. I'm a huge fan of their films, especially HP5. I shot a lot of it when I was first starting out in film photography. Fantastic latitude and just always looks good.

Oh boy, this will be a long list so I'll keep it short and stick to my most used stuff.

My most used camera is my Nikkormat EL for 35mm, a Fujica GSW690II for 120, and I also have my Wista 45 for large format. Besides that... some 40 or so cameras in total. I mostly collect weird Soviet cameras, so I've got a Zenith 80 (rare UK export version of the Salyut-C), and a Kiev 60, a Zorki 4, and a 16mm subminiature Kiev Vega. I've got 2 Canon EOS cameras, including an RT, which is a really weird one. The mirror is fixed and translucent, so there's no finder blackout and it shoots nearly instantly. A Polaroid 104 Auto. Couple of cheap rangefinders. Olympus XA. And tons more that I've lost track of through my office.

I've also got something cool which is vaguely film related, an old projection lens from the original line of Cinemascope adapters made by Bausch & Lomb. It's probably over 70 years old at this point.

    And my film fridge: https://imgur.com/a/COe6dck

It's a little easier for me to shoot as I work at a camera store, and specifically in the photolab. We're probably the busiest lab in Ontario, certainly up there for Canada.

Once you get the basics down, After Effects is a lot of fun to mess around with. I played around and learned from tutorials, just googling when I couldn't figure out how to achieve an effect.

So I'm a photographer, but I shoot film instead of digital. For those just starting out in photography, I do recommend learning with film. It's more of a direct learning process, especially with older manual cameras. You basically have to learn the basics of exposure, there's no auto mode to take care of things for you. I usually suggest cameras like that, simple, reliable cameras, but ones that don't really hold your hand as much. Now, I use a camera with auto-exposure (more accurately aperture priority), because I know how all the different sides of the exposure triangle affect the image and each other.

I would generally say a simple, clean, memorable and short logo animation is the best. It doesn't outstay its welcome and is more likely to be appreciated as it lets people get right to the content quicker.

You can find resources online like After Effects templates that you can then modify yourself pretty easily to make an animated logo. For example, this site has some links and examples.
