I have actually written a jj "review" of sorts earlier this week, which might explain some of the pull factors for jj. It does sort of assume that people are aware of the push factors for git though.
The tl;dr is basically fewer concepts to manage, more consistent UI (95%), and a nicer experience when working on follow work from stuff that might be revised (e.g. from a code review)
