I suffer from same, and everything I've read so far in this thread has been awesome (I already do the second sleep location, put on gameplay videos, and slow my breathing; gonna try the counting thing.) I've also found a trick to be able to put on noise (music, podcasts) without bugging my partner in the same bed: play it softly on your phone and tuck your phone under your pillow. I can turn my head to the side to put my ear right over my phone to listen to it, and my partner doesn't hear a thing. Additionally, if you want to "turn it off" without having to move much, just turn your head the other way; it should be inaudible or barely register at that point. I know they make sleep headbands and whatnot, but I hate wearing them, so this feels like the least intrusive way to listen to something without bothering others.
