What have you been watching / reading this week? (Anime/Manga)
What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.
If you want to, feel free to find the thing you're talking about and link to its pages on Anilist, MAL, or any other database you use!
Eminence In The Shadow is back with 10 more episodes, so 10 more weeks of watching a surprisingly gripping story of cringe and power fantasy. No complaining though, it has become my favorite guilty anime.
Eminence in Shadow is a weird isekai lol, I haven't caught up but I totally get why you call it a guilty watch. From episode to episode it's really hard to tell if it's going to go anywhere, I keep expecting the MC to change his attitude at some point but...hasn't happened yet at least up to where I got to
Random ones watching with my partner, I'm not sure what criteria we're using to pick them, lol
Tengoku Daimakyo, or Heavenly Delusion, is a spring 23 anime that I didn't hear about until just recently.
It's actually great! It's a good mystery story with stellar visuals and animation. I still don't know where exactly it's going but it seems to be dropping hints everywhere that I'm either missing or still trying to puzzle together.
I'm just hoping the conclusion won't be too umm "esoteric Japanese".
I read this this past week, not knowing it had an anime. I really dig the non linear narrative it's presenting. Catching up to the most current release already has me wanting to reread it, because I'm positive there are subtle things I missed on the first pass through.
Jujutsu Kaisen manga starring Gojoke and Kashitmoto
