    Binged Frieren this weekend. Been seeing it promoted and the summary was interesting. Surprised to find out how much I like this show. The first few episodes sets up the show really well. The slice of life style the show takes has more meaning because of that context. Plus it looks great too.

    Finished MHA: Vigilantes this week. I kinda hate it. The first two thirds of the story were fun. But the rising action and climax of the series were just bad to me. Which ruins the whole story. The MC has this leap in ability with very very weak justifications. The action that centers around the MC in the climax and how they get through it feel so unearned.

    Kochi is this dumb, but well meaning and good hearted person. A few times through the series, someone appears out of nowhere to train him for a little bit. Outside of that he gets beat up. Because of those literal months of training and years of getting beat up, he's able to utilize his abilities at the same level of top pro heroes. He goes from 10-100 because he gets beat up and runs away. They basically say as much. It's frustrating to me.

    It also doesn't help that I don't care about the cameo trope. Where characters from the main series appear and get unnecessary origins or plot for basically fan service. There was one or two instances that I liked. The rest were meh. Some of them felt different from how they are in the main series too.

    I realize that I'm probably the only person that feels that way about Vigilantes, but oh well
