I absolutely have no idea where this is going but it's decently funny and at least absurd enough I can see myself watching it until the end at a slow pace.

So far my season's favourite has been the Shoushimin Series where the protags are trying to be as ordinary as possible, but the main character seems to be good at solving mysteries. It's a slow burn, but if you like to follow the characters trying to solve the case of a missing bag, or how to make chocolate milk without rinsing anything in the sink, taking everything in when every detail counts, this is the show for you.

I finished reading RED: Living on the Edge by Muraeda Kenichi. It's a gritty historical fiction action series about a native American man getting revenge on a platoon of US soldiers who slaughtered his tribe when he was a child. It was super good. It's very violent, so certainly not for everyone, but the action is very good. I was also constantly impressed by the author's understanding of American culture. A big chunk of the cast have names that a colors. And the author really leveraged symbolism with the colors as well as general American iconography to tell a really nuanced western. The person who recommended it to me compared it a Cormac McCarthy novel, and while I think the writing style is completely different, it shares a similar tone.

My slow watch through of Taiyou no Kiba Dagram continues! I've watched through episode 27 so far. I made a point of watching at least one episode just to make sure I keep the ball rolling on the series. I've become more a "spur of the moment" media enjoyer over the years and have had other stuff take over my attention lately. After watching this episode I do plan to watch some more as taking a small break and coming back has me more interested.

The male MC and female MC/love interest have finally met up. Nice seeing them together even if it was for an episode before they part ways again. There was mention of a parallel government being formed by the guerillas which is an interesting development and I'm liking the more "space opera" parts of this series continuing to flesh itself out.

I'd honestly like for the guerillas to have more mechs, I know it's a show focusing on this one important one but it feels like they should have at least a few to even the odds since no matter how many Crinn and co blow up the federation seems to have more.
