I have mixed feelings about Kon's work. On the one hand it's clear that he was incredibly talented, but on the other hand his works (with the exception of Millennium Actress) don't really do much for me.
Having this and his unfinished movie in production doesn't really excite me at all because it'll probably have the same downfalls as the rest of his work but without the overall finesse that he'd personally provide.
