Hell yeah dude. I had no clue what I was watching and I was about to switch off of it because it was kinda lame. But about 5-10 minutes in the first episode there was a line that was amazing.

If they are on the services I subscribe to, I will use it. I know a lot of people say I shouldn't steal or wtv, but my morals don't really care.
Exactly. And something I think people in general should remember is we, the people, control the market. If they see that more people are moving to pirating, they will realize that their prices are...

If they see that more people are moving to pirating, they will realize that their prices are too high or their accessibility sucks. People evolve, tech evolve, and so does the market. It might result in some things suddenly being less profitable buts thats just the nature of economics.
A good example is music, before streaming listening to music on demand was expensive, but now its easy and record labels make less money. 1 good thing is that the Japanese music labels just realised this and have started putting their music on spotify.
Ah yes, and go from "hundreds of days" to "thousands of days". It's pretty good melodrama though. Certainly a better recommendation than most other long-running series.

I don't see Katanagatari mentioned much outside of niche discussion, although it does appear to have slightly over 100 thousand members on MAL. Perhaps I just 'missed the boat' with regards to...
I don't see Katanagatari mentioned much outside of niche discussion, although it does appear to have slightly over 100 thousand members on MAL. Perhaps I just 'missed the boat' with regards to it's earlier popularity. Either way, if you can get past the lengthier dialogue, I'd recommend giving it a try if you've not already seen it.
Kaiji is also in my experience a less popular anime, focusing on increasingly high-stakes and absurd gambles. Extreme, but gripping enough to keep you interested. Although the art style is certainly unique...
I don't know anything about anime, my best friend knows me insanely well and suggest animes for me. So these are probably famous and am not adding anything to this conversation. But they're my...

I feel like no one has seen Shiki that I haven't directly recommended it to. It's basically if Stephen King's book Salem's Lot was made into a series by someone who wanted to do it better. It's a...

It's a good mix of drama and horror, and last time I checked $20 on Amazon.
Ghost Stories English dub

Absolutely legendary show, and several of the voice actors ended up being huge.

If you haven't yet, I'd say definitely watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

Higashi no Eden
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.
Angel Beats!
Obligatory warning that Ano Hana may make you cry ugly.
You don't need the "may" in there. There's no shame.
I feel like no one has seen Shiki that I haven't directly recommended it to.

Kakugo no Susume (Apocalypse Zero) if dark humor is your thing.
