Second week of the 2010 Winter Throwback, and already decided to drop a show. That Qwaser show is just way too terrible for me to keep watching, it isn't a good enough action ecchi show to keep me watching for plot & characters but doesn't go far enough into the hentai realm to be soft porn or something like that.

Dance in the Vampire Bund Ep 2:
So, for this episode I decided to use the dub to watch the show and decided it isn’t that bad. It is fine enough that I would be fine watching it normally that way, or with subs. Now onto the actual episode, I’m interested in this filter they applied on everything. And filter is the best way I can see it. Because it looks like they made the normal show with normal colors, then added one of those old school hdr filters to change the colors and feeling of the show. And while it doesn’t look amazing, honestly, I kinda like it because it changes the way it looks and gives it a different style. Still don’t like these other clans just being big animals, it feels kinda odd and strange and kinda hilarious to look at. And why did all these groups stay hidden for hundreds of years and didn’t get active till the vampires did? Ep 2 I didn’t hate I guess, and surprisingly actually kinda liked in an average sort of way. I’m slightly more interested to see where the various groups play into things.

Also, the loli thousand-year-old vampire is still creepy no matter how old you make the character. A young-looking character being naked or any way sexual will always not be creepy.
Sound of the Sky Ep 2:
Still a really nice and relaxing show, though I have a ton of questions about the world and characters. Like so much about this show makes no sense at all that it must have some massive backstory waiting to get explained. Don’t know if they ever will but would be interested to see it.

Stuff like a school they call massive full of a language they can’t read, but still new enough that it hasn’t fallen down completely. Also, with some absolutely massive holes in it that are obviously bombed. Like did this place belong to the country they fought the war with, or did some cataclysmic event occur that rapidly changed the world and population, though it still doesn’t explain the language.

Also, the fact that they even have a platoon that isn’t equipped and essentially forgotten about in some remote part of the war. Staffed only by females and obviously not very important to anything. Can’t help but feel like somebody in this platoon is like the daughter of somebody powerful, and she wanted to fight, so they created a bullshit platoon in a random location so she could say she was helping and fighting but also safe from any harm at all.

Overall though, liked the second episode and still like the show. Just interested to see where this goes from here and how many questions are actually answered.
The Qwaser of Stigmata Ep 2:
I’m done, with this show. I’ve tried, I really wanted to try. I wanted to figure out why this show has 2 seasons and what let it do this. But the characters and the ecchi bits are just way to shit for me to keep going. Like I think if this show didn’t have the whole breast sucking thing, I would be fine with it. But it is just so overdone and poorly done at that, it gets in the way of actual content. Oh well.

    Omamori Himari Ep 2:
Thus far I think this is the most generic show that I’m watching from Winter 2010. Weak rather useless main character getting surrounded by powerful and quirky female characters that all like him for some reason. I don’t understand how this style of show got so popular and stayed so popular for so long in both anime and manga and light novels. Nothing will ever happen or develop and change, but I also can’t really root for one character or another because I know none of them will win. This is the one style of harem that I am most glad to be finally falling out of style and hope it never returns. Also going to give this show another episode or two in order to see if some improves.

Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts Ep 2:
Wow this is just a show that I can’t get interested in. I don’t understand at all why these battles are happening, or why the school system is set up this way and how it contributes anything. And the characters are just not interesting at all, they are all so dumb and stupid that I can’t like any of them.I just get frustrated watching them and trying to figure out what is going on. I think I’ll give it another episode or two to improve, but not holding my breath.

    Katanagatari Ep 2:
I don’t really know about this show in the second episode. I still like how unique the art style is, and the animation is good. Music works well and the 1-hour long episodes are a nice change that feels really different from everything else. But this isn’t a show that really convinces me to watch it, I enjoy the episodes but don’t really feel I’m gaining or losing anything from watching it. IDK if that makes any sense, but it just doesn’t grab me like I want I guess I’m trying to say. Will have to see were it goes from here and if I keep watching it.

Thanks for the heads-up, I normally skip those so I'll stick around this time.

The Madoka Spinoff is a real slow burn, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun is fun, and Hands Off is a Masakki Yuasa project, about a girl who wants to make an Anime and explores the worlds she sketches out, so that's neat.
