What have you been watching and reading this week? You don't need to give us a whole essay if you don't want to, but please write something! Feel free to talk about something you saw that was cool, something that was bad, ask for recommendations, or anything else you can think of.

Finally finished Code Geass! It was good for what it was. Overall I think there was a decent balance of the genres it mashed together: political drama, slice of life, mecha fights.
It was long. The second season could have been cut in half, as a lot of the story arcs' progression and battles and conversations felt repetitive.
Wish some characters had gotten more screen time and others less. I get that the lack of screen time was intentional for some, like the scientist duo, as part of their adult mystique. On the flip side, I don't get why certain side characters got so much screen time: Nina, Rivalz, the lazy scientist woman, the Chinese Federation leaders...
I was pleased with the final arc and ending.
I need to rewatch that show! I loved how it was so over-the-top with... well, everything!
Well this week kinda ends my self made 2010 Winter Throwback Challenge. Ended up only watching 3 shows when I started with 6, and I don't think I really enjoyed any of those 3. But overall, I don't think I really hated trying this and going to do it again for the Spring 2010 season. Still have a movie to watch from 2010 Winter, Welcome to the Space Show that I'm gonna watch next week I think to fill the gap between seasons. Posted the full reviews on AniList to keep this from getting too long.

Wasn’t a terrible final episode, feel like worked better than the previous episode. Don’t feel like it was as rushed as the previous episode mainly. Overall, I think it provided a pretty decent ending point to the series that I’m satisfied with. While not being a terribly obvious go read the manga ending.

How does this happen, how they waste literally the entire season doing nothing. And then through the entire plot of the show in the last 2 episodes. And this was an original, so they don’t even have the excuse of trying to make an anime of an ongoing manga or light novel.
Overall, this whole show was just a massive disappointment. They tried to combine slice of life cute girls show, with some music show, with some war drama and failed on absolutely every front for me.
I just know my full review will be hated, but oh well.

Well it is the final episode, and man I really didn’t like this show. Will have a full review of the season linked above, but just for this episode.
This was a terrible rushed ending that explained nothing and finished nothing at all. They got rid of two different villains in a single episode via unexpected power of friendship style powerups. But the one we just got introduced to and didn’t care about. And the other had a sudden power up to be the super-duper villain in the last 5 min and get defeated in 3 hits in about 30 seconds. I still don’t know what he wanted to do, where he came from, or if he was working with somebody or by himself.
After everything they have a random dinner together and for some reason the classmates and teacher who I forget existed show up for no reason. And the show just ends. Like wow, nothing in this episode impressed me at all. And was overall just terrible.
