Something weird going on with architecture. Construction times go out of control (but let's blame "covid", lol).
And what comes out of it, what about the design? An gray cube with, I am sure, some fantastically convoluted conceptual justifications. All these contemporary prestige buildings look great when lit at dawn (always how they are presented) but are sterile concrete wastelands in actual daylight.
I posted something about this a while ago. I'm not saying the crazy colorful buildings linked in the article are the solution but we certainly have a bit of a creative crisis with "efficiency" drowning all joy and emotion in modern architecture. I have some strong feelings about this.
