    That was enthralling and super relaxing to watch. Also, holy crap, the fact he had to resort to scraping both the overpaint and glue is insane. That must have taken forever despite how little he showed of it in the video, and must have been tedious as hell to do. No wonder art conservation is so bloody expensive.

    Incidentally, a few years ago I designed a website for a local museum conservator who wanted to start building up her freelance business as she was getting closer to retirement (although she specialized in porcelain repair, not paintings), and all the before/after photos she provided from her portfolio similarly blew me away. It's really amazing what a skilled conservator can accomplish.
