I've wanted something like this for a long time. Features:
Depends on very little software, but runs on Windows/Mac/Unix
Can be modified as it runs using almost zero additional software (just another app like this one)
Plays well with git like Graphviz or PlantUML. No long lines, and adding new nodes or edges doesn't reorder unrelated nodes and edges.
Gives you precise control like PowerPoint or Draw.io
It has next to no features compared to those other tools. It's intended for small graphs where laying things out by hand is not too painful.
