Tell me about the songs you are working on
I'm kinda taken aback at Meta's most recent generative music engine (musicgen). I can't believe some of the stuff that pops out of it. I'm trying to generate a few interesting samples for use in my IDMish music.
Currently working on an ongoing EP made mostly DAWless (except to get some samples and final mixing sorted). I'm trying to make it dark and synthetic with a lot of old Tamil movie dialogues being added in for vocal effects. I've got 4 songs done and likely will have two more and then stage it all on Bandcamp.
I'm also working on a vocal collection of 3 songs or so - guitars, drums ,synths and my voice and also writing lyrics and singing it. It feels weird to be singing my own songs - somehow it makes me feel cringe but I'll still persist and get it out of the way. I'm heading for a short music retreat end of this month where I'm planning to finish composing the last song and the re-record all three properly to finalize.
Feeling optimistic - however amateurish and cringe it may all be!
