    Making PET filament is nice, but the quality control necessary for good prints is extremely difficult to achieve at home.

    I'm speaking as someone who built and operated a plastic extruder for 2 years: it technically works, but commercial filament is just so much smoother there's no comparison.

    What I would love to see instead is a recycling facility that separates and processes plastic into filament!
