    1. YouTuber trading game, or maybe a fantasy league, but with YouTubers. You are an investor/agent, if you find an unknown YouTuber that you believe has potential, you "sign them" and if they blow up from 100 subscribers to 100M subscribers, you win. I know some YouTube channels I believe in and I thought it would be a fun game. It could also work as a discovery mechanism for unknown but talented YouTubers.

    2. Friendly feedback community, where creators could help each other improve their drafts. Very specifically, like suggested edits or comments tied to a specific paragraph. It is built on Git, but with simple UI - you just edit the draft and maybe add a comment. I am building this because it is something I would want myself - I miss how my professors at college carefully dissected my essays but with the intention to help me, not with the usual internet motivation to "win" the argument. I am trying to set incentives in the app in such a way that it would reward constructive helpfulness. Which would not be easy.

    3. Self-analysis app - to track things in my life and see whether/how they correlate. For example, sometimes I felt irritated and I did not know why. Maybe it had something to do with over-training, sometimes it seemed to correlate with sugary drinks. So I made a super-simple app that basically just timestamps things: I feel like shit, I make a timestamp, I eat this or that, timestamp... sometimes all it takes is to put these on a timeline and patterns emerge.

I just finished my latest video for my ancient history YouTube channel. Always so challenging and rewarding. This one is an adaptation of the work of Ahmad Ibn Fadlan, from 921 CE. In it, he famously encounters Vikings (or Varangians or Rusiyya, depending on one’s opinions) and speaks at length on their habits, customs, and traditions.

There is such a wealth of ancient writing that deserves more modern adaptations, to be more accessible to today’s audiences. I intersperse them with episodes that are more historical overviews of regions and ethnicities but those are almost entirely academic and these allow me to be truly creative.

I’ll post it in a few days when it goes live.
