    Text rendering seems to be a free-for-all for weird quirks and unexpected edge-case bugs. Like, cursive emoji. Why is that a thing? Not to mention emotes that look the same but get encoded slightly different, so you can't expect users to be able to type them right consistently since every platform does things different. Or has emotes other platforms don't support.
    Interestingly, Excel supports emotes- but removes all color and draws the outline only. Text effects work on them in Word, drop shadows and gradient line color and all. Weird.

    Rendering seems to be like language; there's a certain degree of logic combined with a certain degree of total lack of logic.

    Also, I found this particularly funny(image).
