In the same vein as The hunt for the Death Valley Germans I found this to be a super interesting read.

By the autumn of 2020 the story had faded from my mind until my brother called me with an interesting missing person case. That phone call was the starting point of the most interesting adventure I’ve ever had, and it lead to us solving two missing person cold cases, which had been unsolved for 9 and 15 years.

I'd had this open on a tab in mobile for a while now, and finally got around to reading it today. This was a fascinating read! The descriptions of all the work and research preparing and building the vehicles kind of gets me itching to do some sort of project myself, though I don't have any experience nor any sort of objectives to work towards.

I'm really glad for the families to get the closure. It's interesting how both cases had reported sightings of the victims that threw off the investigations. Makes me wonder about how many other missing persons cases have such simple solutions overlooked for the same reasons. Of course, searching water isn't as easy as people like to think, which this series explained quite well.

The second case in particular, I can see why it went undiscovered for so long. The car went pretty far out.
