While 6 years old, I think this is a significant poll.

Majorities in most surveyed countries say global climate change is a major threat to their nation. In fact, it’s seen as the top threat in 13 of 26 surveyed countries, more than any other issue the survey asked about.

Majority of the population in 23 of 26 countries agree with the following statement: "Global climate change is a major threat to our country." Majority of the population in all of the countries examined agree that it is a threat to the country.

The share of the populations expressing concerns about climate changed has grown since 2013. I suspect these percentages are even higher now in most of the countries examined, considering the Australian Bushfires of 2019-2020, the extreme warming caused by a particularly strong El Niño in the last 2 years, and the increasing scientific and media buzz around climate urgency since 2018.

I think this is good news. Most people seem to agree that climate change is a very real threat. This shows that there is a massive, massive potential for support for climate activism. I think what we need to do next is show who is responsible for climate change, who is preventing us from fixing it. Communicate to people that our enemies are the people in power who are destroying us, so tackling climate change will mean confronting and overcoming them. Whether a moderate or a radical activist, we should put a face on this enemy. This will solidify the struggle more, and will push people toward a more grounded understanding of its causes. It will raise awareness that, once again, it's the extremely rich that are ultimately responsible for making us suffer, for financial gains at the cost of everybody else.
