CCS is a valid option for mitigating emissions where burning fossil fuels is necessary.
In the long term I think it would be a better option to pursue alternative reducing agents to remove coal from the production entirely. This would not only address the cement emissions at the source, but would also be applicable to other industrial carbon sources like steel and aluminum refining.
