I will say, it's immensely saddening to hear the voiceover discuss the idea that we can use robots to fill niches that the way we live prevent nature from filling any longer. I get it. But it's still sad.
I suspect that it will turn out that pangolins were doing a lot more than just putting seeds in holes, similar to how swarms of robotic bees don’t quite make up for the cost.
