I have no problem with what this person is doing and I hope he keeps gaining the right attention. But I have a problem with the growing trend of shaming. While making people aware of wrongdoings and and pointing out hypocrisy is a good thing I think we should be very careful about who and what we shame. I honesty don't think shaming is something to strive for no matter what subject matter is.

I was thoroughly disappointing when a saw John Oliver interview Monica Lewinsky a couple of weeks ago and they actually concluded in the end that some people need to be shamed into making the right choices or shamed to silence. After a very eye opening interview (I'm not from the US so the coverage of the Clinton/Lewinsky thing wasn't that big of deal here) where she talked about the very real consequences about shaming and public humiliation Oliver makes her agree on that shit in the end anyways. Maybe it's just the word but I really don't see any benefit in shaming whatsoever. Bring attention, call people out but in my experience shaming has never been positively useful in the long run ever.
