From the Arbor Day Foundation website TimeforTrees.org:

We cannot do this alone. To plant trees at the scale we’re aiming for, we are counting on a new and revitalized population of tree planters.

We are actively recruiting new Arbor Day Foundation members who receive 10 free trees to plant in their yards. We are connecting with employees of our corporate partners, inspiring them to green their communities. And we are engaging schoolchildren — the next generation of tree planters — to educate them on why trees are so important and to establish a strong conservation ethic.

I was hoping there would be more ways to get involved and to help in this effort outside of being an organization or a land-owner. I would love to spend time outside of the home planting trees for the organization if they had volunteer sign-ups for it.
