A useful insight into how bad actors inject their destructive projects into communities which have already rallied opposition: astroturfed support and expensive, draining lawsuits. I stumbled across this while researching Nestle's similar activity (including a few purchased politicians) in my new home state.

Also, just to keep pounding the pulpit, don't buy bottled water. The bottlers are draining local acquifers far faster than natural replenishment rates, failing to compensate local communities for the costs of chasing a dropping water table and removing pollutant infiltration, creating unnecessary plastic waste, engaging in false advertising. There's no health benefit to drinking the plasticisers and other contaminants introduced, or drinking from unpurified natural sources.

If you're concerned about your local tap water quality, charcoal filters are only a short-term, expensive solution - get more involved in local politics.
