I found this research notable because the authors conducted a much larger survey of tropical cyclone activity over a longer time frame. This research reaffirms what most climatologists and scientists already suspected or knew, that tropical cyclones are becoming more numbered and more intense alongside climate change. I feel this article is especially pertinent this year as the both the Atlantic hurricane and Pacific typhoon seasons have been remarkable.
