Why did Reuters decide to deep dive into the background of the Axon CEO at this particular moment in time? Maybe I'm being too cynical, but I have grown distrustful of hitpieces whose impetus is not easily discernible.

Given the dates I’d suspect a lot of it was inspired by APM’s When Tasers Fail (2019) or whatever inspired that report.
