Spill your RPG character's secrets that the other party members don't know!
I'll start: the party knows my character is a veteran of the war between the elves and the humans, but they don't know that she was duped into helping develop a type of biological warfare and becoming an accessory to war crimes.
What are you hiding?
In playing in a party that has zealots in and trying to hide my past where I dabbled and still have an interest in druidry which in this system is very very heretical. It's going to derail the campaign at some point and either side of the group will end up dead but they have no clue. The dm thought it was a cool idea though and helped me flesh it out so it'll be entertaining to see if he hints about it to them slowly.
This is many years back, and now outdated, but I played a charming illusionist named M Silas for a while. His secret was that M was short for Melvin, and he was teased mercilessly as a child, and picked up illusion as a defense mechanism.
