Patch should go live on Wednesday morning, June 14. for most regions.
All in all, I think this is a really good patch that's going to shake up the meta a bit. It is very botlane centred (quite apparent from the item changes), but that lane needed it the most. Aphelios Lulu + Zeri Yuumi have been domanating for a tad too long.
I wonder whether crit Zeri is viable, now that trinity + titanic Zeri is gone for good.
Also they should just rename Orianna's ultimate from Shockwave to Nuclear Wave at this point with those damage numbers.
Gragas nerfs are welcomed for sure, the sustain and poke combined was oppressive in lane. Also glad to see Zeri changes, the on-hit build with Triforce/Runaans/Titanic has been running people...
Gragas nerfs are welcomed for sure, the sustain and poke combined was oppressive in lane. Also glad to see Zeri changes, the on-hit build with Triforce/Runaans/Titanic has been running people over, especially in the streams I watch. Together with the Yuumi nerfs I'm looking forward to not seeing her for a bit - though given what a balance mess she is, I'm sure something else will come up soon lol.
Edit: also glad to see a bit of League posting here, IMO some of the best parts of this game are outside the game itself with the discussions the community has :D

Gragas has been terrorising toplane for too long! 8s cooldown on his passive provided so much sustain it was virtually impossible to bully him out of lane. Combined with his linear short engages with EQ, his trading pattern was very oppressive, so it's a well deserved nerf.
We'll have to wait a bit longer to see the impact of the Zeri nerfs, her 25 min game winrate is currently in the gutters, but trinity is still the most bought item on her, so I guess that's just people building her wrong haha.

I completely agree! It's always very fun too see what the community comes up with, and some of the initial reactions after the larger changes are pure comedy. I am very passionate about league, so you might see a few longer write-ups from me regarding the state of the game in the future ;)
Same about Zeri, though she is a lot of fun so I don't mind her too much compared to other ADC's Also happy to see some league posting I'm really struggling to replace the old league community...

That Xerath buff is absolutely bonkers. I assume they're trying to push him mid? This kind of hurts his mana sustain as a support, but in exchange he gets a ridiculous amount of damage. I guess we'll have to see.
The Zyra changes are pure comedy :D Another classic riot move. "X champ has not been very popular, what if we made them a jungler?". I really want to see more casters in the jungle though, so these are super welcome.
We'll have to see whether they actually ship the changes though

Def not convinced about the rest of it though - especially given that the new ult effect rewards scripters on the most scripted champ in the game lol.
As for Zyra, the changes are more QoL than anything, the change from % bonus to flat does seem better overall, Remus posted a vid comparing. I don't think it will make her very viable, just like when Naut got 150% bonus damage on his E to monsters he didn't show up at all.
I agree Xerath's passive is bad, but his ult and range take up most of his power budget. The champ is balanced around not having a passive, like Kog'maw or Morgana. Nautilus jungle was actually...

Nautilus jungle was actually picked at MSI, so it is viable, but nobody plays it because it's not really fun. Presence often doesn't correlate to what's good, particularly in soloQ, but I would really love to see Zyra in the jungle. Here's hoping!
Thanks for posting these! Basically the only reason I followed the league subreddit was for patch notes & PBE notes, so I’m glad someone’s posting them here.

It’s pretty readable, but I’m on mobile. You could do different heading levels with #’s to spit up champion notes to avoid multiple indent levels, but I don’t think it really matters that much...

What do you guys think?
Been a minute since I played SR games, but the nerf to passive & Q look like a decent-sized hit to Zeri's dominance in the meta.
Gragas nerfs are welcomed for sure, the sustain and poke combined was oppressive in lane. Also glad to see Zeri changes, the on-hit build with Triforce/Runaans/Titanic has been running people over, especially in the streams I watch. Xerath passive almost becoming a real thing with the CD refund change, and I'm interested to see if jungle Zyra becomes popular. KiNG Nidhogg has played it, Brozah did it in his "Jungle or Fumble" series, might be interesting.
