The Japanese trailer shows some slightly different things when talking about the photo gallery mode (illustrations that were originally posted by the team on twitter). The real differences between this trailer and the initial trailer shown at EVO is the release date announcement, January 25, 2024, and the confirmation of a dlc character pass that seems to be free if you preorder.
The release date actually seems horrible, as it is releasing the same week as Tekken 8. Competing with what will be the biggest game of the year in the same genre as you seems like a poor choice. Releasing in the same window as Like a Dragon and Persona 3 Reload also means that there will be a lot less errant weebs with spare cash on the market. I love these games, but this does not seems like a solid first step.
I'm not sure how much overlap there really is between UNI and Tekken players, but I suppose it definitely won't help attract newcomers. Oh well. I'd rather they headbump releases than for UNI2 to...
