It certainly took a while for 1.0 to come out, but I think I'll need to "get the gang back together" for a final replay of the game now that it is fully released.

Yeah, my friends have asked me to spin up a server again. We last played together almost 5 years ago, and I don't think any of us have played it much since. It's going to be glorious chaos again!

My friend spun up a server last night for it, no one else seemed interested so we're just going to duo it. Honestly that's probably for the best, "too many cooks" can be an issue with base...

Honestly that's probably for the best, "too many cooks" can be an issue with base building decisions and goals. I hopped on last night and was flooded with new recipes and I can see some new UI changes as well. Also, there is an impressive animation intro upon launching.
Last time we solved that by building separate bases with a portal hub. Not sure how much activity we'll get this time but I like the idea of building together.

We just have some people that would butt heads over how things were laid out and such. My friend and I that are the only ones playing this time are have never had this problem, we're usually the ones that were the peacemakers anyway so I think it will be smooth sailing. We already found some new things we don't quite know what to make of yet so this has been fun.
Same for me. We played it a lot during 2021. I think we stopped after defeating the plains boss. Still a bit fond of my old blog post about how to enable single player sleep on a multiplayer...

I basically quit entirely after losing my best gear on the other side of a sea I needed to cross to reach the next boss. I tried to retrieve it twice and died both times, never got a portal set up...
I basically quit entirely after losing my best gear on the other side of a sea I needed to cross to reach the next boss. I tried to retrieve it twice and died both times, never got a portal set up either so I had to brave the sea serpents. It was enough of a setback to set me off that save, and the server was dwindling anyway.
