It's surprising how accurately this animation portrays the any% No Amiibo route. The quick transitions between shrines aren't just there to speed up the pace of the animation, but are based on actual tricks you'd see in the current any% route. This includes:

    • Shield surf clipping out of the starting cave to skip the Great Plateau cutscene.
    • Shield surf clipping into shrines to skip the Sheikah tower in the Great Plateau, which would normally need to be activated before you can open a shrine.
    • Shield surf cancelling for more jump distance, which is necessary to skip the last boulder in the Magnesis Shrine.
    • Launching yourself at high speed to other areas using boulders and the Magnesis rune.
    • Using a trick called the Bullet Time Bounce to fling yourself off of enemies at high speed: this is used to get to other shrines quickly and to head directly to Hyrule Castle once the paraglider is unlocked.
    • Various strategies to stunlock the final boss in the various phases of the fight.

BotW speedrunning has been highly optimised since the game's release with multiple time saving skips discovered that brought the world record to below 30 minutes. The ultimate skip would be a way to avoid doing the Great Plateau entirely, but this may be theoretically impossible for three main reasons:

    1. There is a barrier across the whole of Hyrule that either voids out the player or kills them if they have not finished the Great Plateau. Even if you could theoretically enter the final dungeon without triggering this death zone, it would still kill you on the last phase of the final boss which takes place in the overworld.
    2. You will not have access to the paraglider. You will receive this from the King after clearing all the Great Plateau shrines and only them can you leave the Great Plateau.
    3. You will not have access to certain Sheikah Slate powers, depending on which shrines you skipped. Some of these are essential for traversing Hyrule Castle.

Put it this way, the only way you'd see a major time save on this run is if someone found a way to wrong warp straight to the credits.
