I've been playing this game over the last couple of weeks after it came out on Xbox Game Pass for PC, and actually just finished it last night.
I really enjoyed it overall, but was disappointed at some of the progression/balance feeling a little unnecessary or otherwise not-quite-right, so it's good to see that they're still actively working on improving it. I don't know if anything in this update will improve too much on my complaints yet, but this is only the first step on the development roadmap that they posted in December, so there's still a lot more coming.
I don't know if the update is live on game pass yet, but it's 30% off on Steam this weekend (as well as other places like Humble Store), and would definitely recommend it pretty strongly overall.
