    I joined a gym!

I always hated gyms, and tried going multiple times only to give up 3 days later. Something about locking myself up lifting weights for an hour didn't sound attractive at all, and cardio specially was the most boring thing ever to my ADHD brain. Maybe because I'm well medicated now, it doesn't feel so revolting. I kinda like it now?

I never liked indoors cardio, but according to my psychiatrist cardio is the most likely to help me manage my anxiety. And where I live now outdoor activities are pretty much impossible.

Mental health is one of my main motivations for exercising. The second motivation is that I'm getting ridiculously weak and that is starting to affect my ability to do tasks and house chores comfortably, including but not limited to lifting things. I don't wanna be out of breath after climbing a flight of stairs, and other kinds of highly important activities are also affected by my lack of muscular strength.

There's nothing special about the gym, but the owner/trainer is really really nice, very friendly and makes feel welcome. Other gyms I've been to made me feel inadequate and unimportant, so I'd say being greeted by a genuinely nice and welcoming person is probably what made the difference for me.
