The first meme I recollect that vaulted a hitherto unknown person into internet infamy was the star wars kid. Things did not go well for him.
Overly attached girlfriend always struck me as the first meme to turn someone potentially negative into a positive.
She gave me hope that becoming a meme was not always a curse.
It seems like that hope was misplaced, and there was a lot more going on under her cheerful demeanor.
Incidentally, this is only the second youtube video I have ever seen where the comments are all consistently uplifting.
