Exposure to neurotoxin may have been cause of "Havana syndrome" affecting diplomats in Cuba, not "sonic attacks"

"According to a new Canadian study [...] the cause could instead be neurotoxic agents used in pesticide fumigation."

"The symptoms experienced by the diplomats and their families, rather, are consistent with low-dose exposure, leading researchers to examine the effects of cholinesterase (ChE) blockers in commercial products."

"Cuba, like other tropical countries, regularly sprays pesticides to kill insects that carry infectious diseases."

So if it wasn't already a dead narrative, this study puts the final nail in the coffin of the conspiracy theory that the Cuban government was somehow, against all rationale, intentionally poisoning American diplomats during a time of détente.
