This video, along with studies such as this one might show the pendulum is swinging back towards the positive with regards to vaping.
Personally, I see vaping as adult nerd candy and it's a delivery system for relatively low amounts of nicotine (a mild stimulant, such as caffeine (also habit forming)) without the carcinogens associated with cigarettes. Even if you're not using it as a tool to kick cigarettes, I see no problem in using 'em. Though, I know the cloudz and strong scents could be obnoxious to innocent bystanders.
